Hot Stuff Foods Honored for "The Wow! Factor"

New Orleans, LA, Hot Stuff Foods® garnered the highest honor in the newest category at the 2008 Packaging awards, sponsored by the Foodservice Packaging Institute - an international trade association headquartered in Fairfax, VA (www.fpi.org).  Hot Stuff Foods® new Big Stuff™ Crowd Pleaser Pizza container captured first place in the newly created category - "The Wow! Factor."  FPI notes that "The Wow! Factor" is to honor foodservice packaging that increases sales because it makes consumers say, "Wow!"  In addition, FPI reported that "the foodservice packaging should be creative, and specifically designed to get consumers' attention.  It marries good physical design, great graphics, and/or technological enhancements."

Hot Stuff Foods Unveils "Store of the Future"

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- Hot Stuff Foods unveiled its "Store of the Future," a new food solutions initiative designed to provide multiple food solutions or "touch points" for increased convenience and store profitability, according to Neal Hollingsworth, Hot Stuff's executive vice president of marketing.

In addition, these touch points are designed to exceed the operator's expectations of margins and profitability. C-Stores Make Pizza Time
More than a century ago, Italian peddlers would walk up and down the cobblestones street of New York, Chicago and Philadelphia selling pizza from metal drums they carried on their backs. Then pizzerias started opening in and around major cities in the 1900s. Eventually chain pizza deliveries like Little Caesars, Pizza Hut and Domino's began to dominate the market.

PHOENIX -- Hot Stuff Foods recently honored its top franchisees during the company's annual President's Club meeting held at the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort here. Retailers, representing more than 600 c-stores, were recognized for their outstanding service and customer commitment.

Hot Stuff chief executive officer John Fontana said President's Club membership recognizes them as the "best of the best," and "is our way of expressing gratitude to our outstanding franchise partners."

In addition to being honored for their accomplishments, President's Club members were also provided with insights and trend information from Scott Seltz, vice president and publishing director for Convenience Store News, who presented the publication's 2007 Industry Report.

Biggest Pizza, Biggest Pizza Day

GRAFTON, N.D. -- Grafton Square convenience store owner Mike Beaudoin is celebrating his own version of "giant" success on Super Bowl Sunday. Beaudoin partnered with franchisor Hot Stuff Foods of Sioux Falls, S.D., to offer the largest pizza in the nation on the biggest pizza sales day of the year.


"This is the biggest Super Bowl I've ever had", said Beaudoin, whose Grafton Square store sold 21 Big Stuff Crowd Pleaser Pizzas for Super Bowl parties throughout the town of Grafton, N.D.
